Noah Johnson is a lifelong resident of Minnesota. He was born in Burnsville and raised in the Robbinsdale and North Minneapolis area, and graduated from Robbinsdale Cooper High School in New Hope. He received his B.A. in political science with a philosophy minor from the University of Minnesota, and his J.D. cum laude from Mitchell Hamline School of Law.
Throughout his life, Noah has been passionate about issues of justice, causing a lifelong fascination with history and politics, and leading him to practice law in Minneapolis at Koch & Garvis, LLC, with a focus on criminal and family law.
Noah is running for Attorney General, first and foremost, in order to advance the cause of marijuana rights. He believes marijuana's illegality is morally unacceptable, and that the notions of liberty and justice upon which the United States was founded require the harmless plant to be legalized and criminal convictions for its use and possession to be wiped from record.
As Attorney General, he will call upon the Minnesota Legislature to legalize marijuana in the name of the public safety, and issue guidelines to state prosecutors encouraging them not to waste public resources on marijuana prosecutions.
